How To Use Sandalwood For Skin Care?:
Sandal Wood For Acne Treatment: Make a thick spreadable paste by combining 1 teaspoon each of sandalwood powder and turmeric powder, and then mixing well using clean water. Apply it as a spot treatment before bedtime to treat pimples and acne.
Sandalwood To treat Itchy Skin: To treat itchy skin sandalwood powder and turmeric powder should be mixed. Add in a teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice to the mixture to form a paste. Apply on and around trouble-area, leaving it on for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.
Sandal Wood To Treat Skin Tanning: Sandalwood paste is one of the best “clear skin remedies”. It can be used to sooth harsh sunburns and clear skin tanning. The natural oils in sandalwood naturally clear skin complexion and add a healthy glow to it. Mix together 2 teaspoons of almond oil and 5 teaspoons of coconut oil. Add in 5 teaspoons of sandalwood powder to form a mixture. Apply this mixture over the sun-exposed area to remove skin tan.
(iv) Kumkumadi Oil (Pharma Copeia): Kumkumadi Tailam is Ayurvedic herbal oil used for facial massage. It is helpful to improve skin texture, complexion and also to relieve skin problems such as acne, scars etc. Kumkuma means saffron, which is the main ingredient of this herbal remedy. This is a highly beneficial treatment to get fairer skin. This oil is a mixture of 16 Ayurvedic ingredients. It is known to remove marks and tanning from the skin.
You can apply a light and even coat of this oil directly on the skin such as your face, chest and neck. After applying it, use the upper parts of your fingers to massage it gently into your skin for 5 minutes, leaving it there for about 20 minutes.
