1. Avocado And Banana Natural Conditioner For Dry, Damaged Hair: This probably is the best homemade conditioner for damaged hair. Banana nourishes your hair well and averts the hair from getting frizzy. Avocado not only conditions and moisturizes your hair, but promotes hair growth as well. Olive oil penetrates deep into your hair and makes it healthy and glossy. Honey adds luster and shine to your hair.

You will need:

(i) 1 ripe banana

(ii) 1 ripe avocado

(iii) 1 egg

(iv) 1 tablespoon honey

(v) 2 table-spoon of extra virgin olive oil


(i) Peel the skin of a ripe avocado and cut it into half (use half or full avocado depending upon length of your hair). Mash it until it turns into chunk-free smooth paste.

(ii) Mash half a banana, add in about 2 tablespoon of extra virgin oil and mix well with the avocado paste and 1 tablespoon of honey to form a uniform mixture.

(iii) Whisk well an egg and mix with the mixture and blend until it becomes a chunk-free uniform paste.

(iv) Your hair needed to be dry before this conditioner application. Apply the conditioner starting from top section of your hair, but make sure to not to apply it on your scalp. Then work your way down and focus on hair ends as the tips are more prone to get damaged. Leave on the conditioner for about 25 minutes, and then rinse it off thoroughly with water leaving no residue in your hair. Now enjoy your smooth and shiny hair. If needed wash your hair with your favorit shampoo to clean out all residues of the conditioner.

2. Coconut Oil And Honey Homemade Conditioner For Dry Hair: This natural hair conditioner is filled with the richness of honey that helps in moisturizing the rough strands and the goodness of coconut oil that makes up for the keratin loss. It helps in moisturizing and strengthening the hair follicles form roots to tips.

You will need:

(i) 3-4 tablespoon of melted pure coconut oil

(ii) 2 tablespoon of organic honey

(iii) 1 tablespoon of plain, unflavored yogurt or curd (optional)

(iv) Few drops of rose water (optional)

Method: Mix well all the ingredients in a small glass bowl. Apply the conditioner thoroughly on wet hair and scalp. If needed wear a shower cap. It also reduces hair loss. Yogurt / curd makes your hair look soft and lustrous.

You will need:

(i) 1 cup plain, unflavored yogurt or curd

(ii) 1/2 cup mayonnaise

(iii) 1 egg

Method: Whisk the egg well and mix all the ingredients thoroughly in a glass bowl and you are ready to rock! Lather it onto your hair from roots to tips, concentrating on the ends where your hair is most prone to damage. Make sure you cover all the strands well. Wear a shower cap, as this conditioner is likely to drip – which can be nasty. You can tuck tissue or cotton balls around the edges of the shower cap or wrap your head in a wet towel. Let it works its magic for about 40 minutes. When finished, it’s time to see your beautiful conditioned locks. Rinse off really thoroughly using normal or lukewarm water but not warm or hot! (ii) 1/2 cup Shea butter

Method: Blend all the ingredients together until they form a smooth paste. Apply it onto damp hair, and cover your head with a shower cap. Leave it on for about half an hour and wash thoroughly with your favorite mild shampoo.

7. Coconut Milk Deep Conditioner For Dry Hair: This all natural home made conditioner for dry hair while deep conditioning your hair adds moisture to it. Coconut Milk is lighter than coconut oil, full of goodness, rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. Due to all these properties, it works as a natural organic conditioner for dry hair. Honey acts as a humectant that attracts and helps to seal in moisture. Glycerin helps to lock moisture into hair. All these natural ingredients work wonders for dry, frizzy hair. This DIY hair conditioner helps to seal in moisture, and thus make hair less frizzy.

You will need:

(i) 1/4 cup coconut milk

(ii) 2 tablespoon honey

(iii) 1 vitamin E capsule

(iv) Few drops of rose water

(v) Few drops of glycerin – The best form is vegetable glycerin

(vi) Few drops of your favorite conditioner (optional)

Method: Mix all the ingredients (except vitamin E capsule) together in a glass mixing bowl. Break open the vitamin E capsule and pour its contents into the mixing bowl. Stir it thoroughly to have a fine, smooth mixture. Apply the mixture on your hair and cover your hair with a shower cap to avoid dripping. Let the mixture sit for about 25 minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. If needed wash your hair with your favorit shampoo to clean out all residues of the conditioner. 8. Powerful Moisturizing / Hair Conditioning Oils: Natural oils are a great way to restore moisture and nourish your hair. They can penetrate into shaft of your hair and nurture it from within. (i) Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids that can moisturize and nurture your scalp and hair. It reduces hair breakage and makes your hair feeling light, soft and shiny. It works as conditioner even for oily hair, and can be truly called natural oily hair conditioner.

Message melted coconut oil (for best results use pure, unrefined coconut oil) onto your scalp and throughout your hair- concentrating more on the ends of your hair. You can apply it onto your dry or damp hair, depending upon your choice. It spreads more easily through damp hair. Comb your hair to distribute the oil evenly. Cover your head with a shower cap, and tuck all your hair inside of it. Let the oil sit on your hair for about an hour or overnight. Longer the oil sit on your hair, more it will condition your hair. Using your favorite shampoo, wash your hair to remove coconut oil completely.

(ii) Avocado Oil: Avocado oil is an amazing natural conditioner for damaged, dry hair. It penetrates into the shaft of your hair and reaches deep inside to deliver and lock in moisture. It’s chock-packed with monounsaturated fatty acid and vitamin E, which promote hair growth and provide a healthy shine to your hair. Warm avocado oil acts as a good deep conditioner. Apply it in warm condition, leaving it on for about 30 minutes then wash it off. To get best results, apply it in warm condition, leaving it on overnight and then wash it following morning.

(iii) Olive Oil: Extra virgin olive oil is a wonderful emollient that can penetrate your hair deep inside much better than other oils. Warm olive oil thus can work to deep condition your hair and add moisture to your scalp.  Warm up a tablespoon of olive oil, and message it onto your hair and scalp in small circular motions using your finger-tips. Cover your hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap. Let the olive oil sit on your hair for about 35 minutes, and then wash it off with your favorite shampoo.
