Homemade Chamomile Face Mask Recipes

Chamomile Oatmeal Mask

The 1st mask recipe on my list of chamomile facemasks is the Chamomile Oatmeal Face Mask. It’s really relaxant and anti-inflammatory. Oatmeal has salicylic acid, which is well known for exfoliating properties. While the honey helps get rid of dead skin cells while, the sugar is added when you need stronger exfoliating

You will need:

(i) Oats: ½ cup oats

(ii) Baking soda: 1 teaspoon

(iii) Honey: 1 tablespoon

(iv) White sugar: 2 tablespoons (optional)

(v) Chamomile tea: ¼ cup (strongly brewed)

Method:

(i) Brew a cup of chamomile tea.

(ii) Place the oats, baking soda, and honey in a glass bowl

(iii) Add 2 tablespoons of the brewed tea to the bowl.

(iv) If your mix is too dry, add some more of the brewed tea until you get the desired consistency.

(v) If you want your mask to work as a strong exfoliant, add the white sugar (optional) and mix thoroughly.

(vi) Wash your face. Use your clean fingers to apply the mask all over your face, leaving it on for 5 minutes.

(vii) Rinse the mask off, and apply your favorite moisturizer.

Note: Do this process in your shower because it can be somewhat messy.

Calming Chamomile Face Mask For Stressed skin

The presence of phytochemicals & polyphenols in chamomile makes it good for revving up skin cells regeneration, which helps reduce appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. Moreover, they fight the free radicals, which not only protects your skin from sun damage, but also slows down signs of ageing. While the humectant honey moisturizes, the aloe vera provides extra hydration to speed up the healing process.

You will need

(i) Chamomile tea: 1 teaspoon, brewed (strong). Alternatively, 1 teaspoon of chamomile tea leaves.

(ii) Honey: 2 teaspoon

(iii) Aloe Vera gel: 4 teaspoon

(iv) Jojoba oil: 3-4 drops (optional)

Method

(i) Mix well all the ingredients.

(ii) Gently, message the mixture on your face & neck using your fingertips in circular motions.

(iii) Let the mask sit on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes

(iv) Rinse/wash it off with water.

Chamomile Olive Oil Mask

The 3rd Chamomile facemask recipe on my list is the Chamomile Olive Oil facemask. While Chamomile helps soothe and calm, the olive oil moisturizes your skin. And white sugar – you already know – it exfoliates and helps remove dead skin cells.

You will need

(i) Olive oil: ¼ cup, extra virgin

(ii) White sugar: ½ cup

(iii) Chamomile tea bag: 1

Method

(i) Empty a Chamomile tea bag contents in to a glass bowl.

(ii) Add the olive oil & white sugar to the bowl and mix thoroughly.

(iii) Store the mix in an airtight container.

(iv) Wash your face with warm water.

(v) Apply the mask evenly all over your face using your clean fingers in circular motions – avoiding the areas around your eyes.

(vi) Let the mask sit for 10-20 minutes.

(vii) Rinse with cold water, and pat dry your face.

Chamomile Almond Mask

 

The 4th facemask on this list: The chamomile almond face mask helps brighten your skin, making your look fairer.

You will need

(i) Chamomile tea: 1 bag

(ii) Oatmeal: 1 tablespoon, powdered

(iii) Honey: 2 tablespoons

(iv) Almond oil: 2-3 drops, sweet

Method

(i) Empty the contents of the tea bag in to a glass bowl.

(ii) Add the oatmeal, honey & sweet almond oil to the bowl and mix thoroughly.

(iv) Wash your face with warm water.

(v) Apply the mask evenly all over your face using your clean fingers in circular motions – avoiding the areas around your eyes.

(vi) Let the mask sit for 10-20 minutes.

(vii) Rinse with cold water, and pat dry your face.

Skin-Repairing Chamomile Mask

Banana is a great natural moisturizing agent and helps boost collagen production, which slows down skin aging. Moreover, it acts as a natural barrier against UV rays and protects skin from free radical damage.

You will need

Banana: 1/2, ripe banana (evenly mashed)

Chamomile tea: 2 tablespoons, brewed (strong)

Honey: 2 teaspoons

Method:

(i) Brew a cup of strong chamomile tea, and set it aside.

(ii) Take half of a ripe banana. Mash it well until lump free. Add to it a tablespoon of honey.

(iii) Add 2 tablespoons of chamomile tea to the banana and honey mixture. Mix well to get a spreadable paste. You may have to adjust the amount of brewed chamomile tea to do so.

(iv) Apply the mixture on your face & neck with your fingertips, leaving it on for about10 minutes.

(v) Wash the mask off with cold water.
