Basic DIY Cucumber Mint Sugar Scrub

Here is a quick, refreshing cucumber and mint sugar scrub recipe!

Note: As this scrub contains cucumber, so to make it last longer you would need to store in in refrigerator. Though, this way it would thicken up quite a bit, but it still will work just fine. If you like, you can take it out a few minutes before you are going to use it so it will soften up a bit.

You will need:

(i) Cucumber: 1, large size

(ii) Mint leaves: 2 tablespoons, fresh

(iii) Sugar: 2 ½ cups, granulated

(iv) Olive oil: 4 tablespoons, extra virgin

Method:

(i) Puree the cucumber and mint together in a blender.

(ii) Take a medium size glass bowl and put all the ingredients in it, namely, pureed cucumber, mint and olive oil.

(iii) Stir the mixture until it’s mixed uniformly. Depending upon your choice you may add more or less sugar to have the mixture of desired consistency (thickness).

(iv) Divide the scrub between your preferred airtight storage containers. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.

DIY Cucumber Peppermint Sugar Scrub

Now I am going to share with you my new favorite cucumber mint sugar scrub recipe. I love the stimulating scent of peppermint. Moreover, the peppermint goes perfectly well with the green color of the cucumbers. On top of all these it smells so much clean and fresh that last month I decided to add some peppermint essential oil to this sugar scrub.

Voilla! Try this scrub and you will see how marvelous this stuff smells. And then you’ll love how soft it makes your skin feel!

A little caution: As with other sugar scrubs, the oil can make the shower floor a little bit slippery, so be careful.

You will need:

(i) Cucumber: ¼, unpeeled

(ii) Sugar: ¾ cup, white

(iii) Coconut oil: 2 tablespoon, organic

(iv) Peppermint essential oil: 8-10 drops

Method:

(i) Puree cucumber until all the skin turns into tiny flecks. Mix in the sugar and coconut oil and blend until oil is absorbed. Mix in the peppermint oil thoroughly. Store in an airtight container.

(ii) To maintain freshness of the cucumber, it is best to store this sugar scrub in the refrigerator. You can simply scoop out what you need a few minutes before you’re going to use it.
