Papaya And Honey Dry Skin Face Pack

Papaya contains high amounts of antioxidants, flavonoidspantothenic acid, vitamin B and minerals such as potassium and magnesium, all of which have many benefits for the skin. While the vitamins present in papaya help nourish & rejuvenate dull skin, the potassium restores the moisture. So, it keeps the skin hydrated. Using papaya regularly can also prevent skin aging, fine lines, wrinkles and age spots.

Honey acts as a natural humectant, which means it helps the skin retain moisture. Moreover, it exfoliates skin to get rid of dead skin – revealing newer skin from underneath.

You will need:

(i) Ripe Papaya: 1/2 Cup, mashed

(ii) Honey: 1 tablespoon

Method:

Mash the ripe papaya well until you get a smooth paste. Add the honey to it, & mix thoroughly. Apply the paste evenly all over your cleansed face, leaving it on for about 30 minutes. Wash it off properly with water.

Repeat it 3 to 4 times a week.

Tip: Remember to use fully ripe papaya.

Banana And Olive Oil Face Pack For Dry Skin

Banana is high in phytochemicals, antioxidants and moisture. It nourishes withered skin, rejuvenates damaged skin – so helps improve skin complexion & provide natural glow. The potassium in bananas helps moisturize dehydrated skin.

Extra virgin olive oil moisturizes dry skin. It also contains antioxidants that can prevent oxidation in the skin, so can help avoid premature skin ageing.

You will need:

(i) Banana: 1 medium size, fully ripe

(ii) Olive oil: 1 tablespoon, extra virgin

Method

Peel one fully ripe banana. Mash it well to make a smooth paste. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the paste, and mix thoroughly. Apply on cleansed face, allowing it to sit for about 20 minutes. Wash it off with water.

Use this home remedy 2 to 3 times a week to get soft & naturally glowing skin.

Tip: Don’t use the blackened mushy bits of the banana.

Aloe Vera And Cucumber Face Pack

Aloe vera gel is good for skin and hair. This gel helps nourish & hydrate dry skin and improve the skin’s ability to retain moisture. Moreover, it prevents infection, itching and heals cracked skin.

Cucumber is 95% water that can help in improving skin moisture and is especially good for hydrating dry skin – making it look soft, smooth and supple.

You will need:

Aloe vera Gel: 1 tablespoon

Cucumber juice: 1 tablespoon

Method

You can buy pure aloe vera gel or cut an aloe vera leaf and scrape out its gel. Keep the gel aside.

Puree or blend half an unpeeled cucumber in a food processor or blender, until you get a watery consistency paste. Separate the juice by pouring this watery paste through a strainer.

Mix the 2 ingredients in equal proportions (say a tablespoon each of them).

Apply the mixture on to your face, leaving it on for about 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Pat your face dry with a soft cloth.

Repeat this procedure 3-4 times a week for well-hydrated, flawless skin.

Yogurt And Rosewater Dry Skin Pack

Yogurt is rich in lactic acid & also loaded with multi-vitamins. So, while improving skin complexion – it provides natural healthy glow to the skin. Saffron And Milk Cream Pack

Saffron contains many vitamins and antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. It improves & lightens the skin tone adding natural glow.

Milk cream (malai) is particularly beneficial for nourishing dry skin. It provides the much-needed hydration, so increases moisture in dry, dull and rough skin.

You will need:

(i) Milk cream (malai): 2 tablespoon, pure

(ii) Saffron: 4 Strands

Method

Take the milk cream in a small glass bowl and add 4 saffron strands to it. Stir it and keep it aside for 10 minutes so as to allow the goodness of the saffron absorbed into the milk cream (malai). In the meantime, wash your face with water, and pat it dry. Mix well the two ingredients and apply the mixture on your cleansed face. Let the pack stay for 30 minutes. Wash off the pack with water.

You can use this pack 3 to 4 times a week to enhance your skin complexion, leaving it smooth, soft and glowing.

Effective Face Pack For Dry Skin – Banana, Honey, Fresh Milk Cream & Rosewater

This diy face pack is very effective for dry skin. With all the skin benefits of banana, honey, malai and rose water as mentioned above, a face pack using all these natural ingredients together can do wonders for dry skin.

You will need:

(i) Banana: 1/2 medium size, fully ripe

(ii) Milk cream (malai): 1 teaspoon

(iii) Honey: 1 teaspoon

(iv) Rose water: 1 teaspoon

Method

Take 1/2 medium size banana and mash it until you get a paste without lumps. Take one teaspoon each of milk cream (malai), honey and rose water. Mix/whisk the ingredients thoroughly to make a smooth, spreadable paste. Apply the paste evenly all over your cleansed face. You may also massage it gently with your fingers in circular motions for about a minute. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then wash it off with water, and pat dry.

You can use this treatment once a week.

Note: You can use the above face packs 2-3 times a week as suggested above, and this one once per week to further boost the moisture in your skin.

Tips: Before applying any of the above face packs, cleanse your face with water or mild face cleanser to remove makeup, dirt and grime lying on your face. This will ensure that goodness of the dry skin face packs reach your skin.
