Homemade Lavender Bentonite Clay Mud Mask

DIY Bentonite Clay Lavender Face Masks A deep cleansing DIY facemask made with bentonite clay helps to deep-cleanse & detoxify skin, minimize pores and control acne breakouts.

Today I am going to share with you three bentonite clay mask recipes.

Benefits Of Common Ingredients

Bentonite Clay: This clay type is able to attract, trap and remove toxins from the skin, which makes it a perfect addition to deep cleansing DIY facemask. It is also good at firming up the skin.

Honey: It’s naturally soothing and cleansing. Raw honey is antibacterial and is great for skin healing. It also adds a smooth and silky texture to the mask.

Lavender Essential Oil: This oil has antiseptic and antifungal properties, so helps in reducing acne, inflammation, and irritation of skin.

Recipe # 1

Lavender Bentonite Clay Mask

You will need:

(i) Bentonite Clay: 1 teaspoon

(ii) Aloe Vera Gel: 2-3 teaspoons, pure (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties, and helps skin regeneration)

(iii) Lavender Essential Oil: 1-2 drops

Method:

(i) Combine well all the ingredients together in a glass bowl, using a wooden spoon – your mask is ready. Do not use a stainless steel as it will react with the clay.

(ii) For a cooling punch, I put the clay mud mix in the fridge to chill before I apply it. Use your fingers to smear a generous amount evenly around your face and down neck.

(iii) Leave the mask on for 25-30 minutes and then wash off.

Tip: I prefer to use this mask before taking a soothing bath or before I hop in a shower.

Natural Beauty Tip: Consider washing off the mask with a bowl of lavender infused water. It will be a perfect addition to this cleansing ritual and will make you feel extra spa like.
