1. Lavender And Coconut Oil Moisturizer For Dry Skin: Here is an amazing DIY moisturizer for dry skin that you can make right at home with just a few ingredients, including the highly useful coconut oil for skin and skin benefits-rich lavender oil, which has natural antimicrobial and antioxidant properties to nourish and protect your skin.
You will need:
(i) Lavender essential oil: 15–20 drops
(ii) Pure, unrefined coconut oil: 3 ounces
(iii) Shea butter: 1 ounce
(iv) Jojoba oil: 1 ounce
(v) Vitamin E oil: ½ teaspoon
(vi) Aloe vera gel: 1 ounce, preferably freshly squeezed from aloe vera leaf or buy a good quality pure gel without additives – store bought
(i) Place al the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Blend all the ingredients together using a hand mixer until they are blended in to a light and fluffy consistency.
(ii) Pour the mixture in a glass jar with air-tight lid and store in cool, dark place. Apply once or twice a day to the skin. If possible, apply to the skin while it is still damp after shower to help seal in moisture.
2. Aloe Vera And Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is super-moisturizing. It is non- sticky, light and so penetrates deep into the skin to keep it soft and supple. Packed with antioxidants, it also helps fight free radicals and slow down skin aging. Plus, it has antifungal and antibacterial properties that help fight microbial infections. It is a good source of Vitamin E, which makes it a good hydrating carrier oil for dry skin.

You will need:
(i) Fresh aloe vera gel: 4 teaspoons
(ii) Extra-virgin coconut oil: 2 teaspoons
(iii) Vitamin E oil: ¼ teaspoon
(iv) Any essential oil of your choice (optional)
(i) Put about 4 teaspoons of aloe vera gel into a blender. Melt 2 teaspoons of coconut oil in a microwave or double-boiler, then add it to the aloe vera gel in blender. Add ½ teaspoon of vitamin E oil.
(ii) Blend the mixture for a couple of minutes.
(iii) Optionally, stir in a few drops of an essential oil of your choice.
Transfer the mixture into a glass container and store it in refrigerator. It will last for several weeks. Use it all over your body as you would use any other moisturizer. To increase its effectiveness, apply it after bathing when your skin is somewhat moist to help lock in the moisture.
