How To Make Oily Skin Rosewater Toner At Home?

This is really one of the easiest recipes you would ever try!

What you need is to just combine rose water and apple cider vinegar in a clean air-tight bottle. Shake well the bottle and your toner is ready to use. Now, the real issue is in what proportion you should mix the two ingredients, namely, rose water and apple cider vinegar.

It all depends on how oily your skin is! Here is what we recommend:

(i) To begin with use minimum amount of apple cider vinegar and increase its amount gradually. This is particularly recommended for sensitive skin.

(ii) Start with 1:10 dilution, meaning you should add 10 ml apple cider vinegar to 100 ml of rose water.

Natural Beauty Tips:

(a) If your skin gets dry even at the minimum dilution of 1:10, then possibly you have combination skin. If such is the case, you need to add glycerine to this toner.

(b) If you have dry skin, then you should avoid adding apple cider vinegar..

(iii) Use the above toner for a week or so. If you feel your skin is still oily, then add 5 ml of apple cider vinegar more. Every week keep on adding 5 ml more until you feel that your oil secretions have reduced to your desired level.

(iv) You can increase the amount of vinegar upto 1:4 dilution, which means that you put 25 ml of apple cider vinegar in 100 ml of rose water.

(v) But in case you have sensitive skin, you need to be a little careful. You should take a middle path by continuing with dilution that suits your skin, even if you feel it is not enough for oil control.

I personally use 1: 6 dilution, which works for me best. I prefer to make 30 ml batch at a time that last for up to 2 weeks.

How To Use Face Toner?

(i) Wash your face with a good quality face wash for oily skin.

(ii) Pat dry your face. Avoid rubbing with a towel as friction can trigger oil glands.

(iii) Take a small amount of the homemade oily skin rosewater toner on a cotton ball or pad and wipe your face.

(iv) While wiping your face with toner, focus on your T-zone as this area is usually more oily.

(iv) Wipe until you don’t get any residue on the cotton.

(v) Apply this procedure twice each day; in the morning and night just after washing your face.

(vi) If you feel your face is greasy during the day, then you may do a quick clean up with this toner. Avoid washing your face more than 3 times a day.

How Long You Can Store?

You can store this rose water and apple cider vinegar toner in a dark color glass bottle. Keep it in a cool and dark place up to 21 to 30 days or even longer. The best part about this toner is that you don’t need to keep it in a fridge.

If your skin is sensitive the apple cider vinegar toner can irritate your skin. So do a patch test before the first use. Also, start with 1:10 dilution and titrate slowly especially if your skin is the sensitive. If your sensitive skin cannot tolerate apple cider vinegar at all, then you can try this:
