You will need:

Egg white: 1

Honey: 1 teaspoon, raw

Ground Oats: Enough to make exfoliating thick mask

Method:

(i) Whip the egg white and honey together until you get a bit frothy mixture. Add in enough ground oats & mix thoroughly to make a spreadable, exfoliating paste.

(ii) Wash your face with warm water.

(iii) Apply it to your face & neck, avoiding the eyes. Rub it gently into the skin.

(iv) Let the mask sit on your skin for about 10 minutes.

(v) Rinse the mask off with lukewarm water.

(i) Beat the egg white thoroughly with a fork in a small bowl, until it becomes frothy.

(ii) Add in the grated carrot and aloe vera in a small bowl and mix well.

(iii) Wash your face with lukewarm water.

(iv) Apply the mixture under your eyes. You may also apply the mask onto your entire face, if desired. Take care to avoid the eyelids so that it doesn’t go into your eyes.

Oatmeal has salicylic acid, which is well known for exfoliating properties. While the honey helps get rid of dead skin cells while, the sugar is added when you need stronger exfoliating

You will need:

(i) Oats: ½ cup oats

(ii) Baking soda: 1 teaspoon

(iii) Honey: 1 tablespoon

(iv) White sugar: 2 tablespoons (optional)

(v) Chamomile tea: ¼ cup (strongly brewed)

Method:

(i) Brew a cup of chamomile tea.

(ii) Place the oats, baking soda, and honey in a glass bowl

(iii) Add 2 tablespoons of the brewed tea to the bowl.

(iv) If your mix is too dry, add some more of the brewed tea until you get the desired consistency.

(v) If you want your mask to work as a strong exfoliant, add the white sugar (optional) and mix thoroughly.

(vi) Wash your face. Use your clean fingers to apply the mask all over your face, leaving it on for 5 minutes.

(vii) Rinse the mask off, and apply your favorite moisturizer.

The 3rd Chamomile facemask recipe on my list is the Chamomile Olive Oil facemask. While Chamomile helps soothe and calm, the olive oil moisturizes your skin. And white sugar – you already know – it exfoliates and helps remove dead skin cells.

You will need

(i) Olive oil: ¼ cup, extra virgin

(ii) White sugar: ½ cup

(iii) Chamomile tea bag: 1

Method

(i) Empty a Chamomile tea bag contents in to a glass bowl.

(ii) Add the olive oil & white sugar to the bowl and mix thoroughly.

(iii) Store the mix in an airtight container.

(iv) Wash your face with warm water.

(v) Apply the mask evenly all over your face using your clean fingers in circular motions – avoiding the areas around your eyes.

(vi) Let the mask sit for 10-20 minutes.

(vii) Rinse with cold water, and pat dry your face.

(ii) Add the oatmeal, honey & sweet almond oil to the bowl and mix thoroughly.

You will need

Banana: 1/2, ripe banana (evenly mashed)

Chamomile tea: 2 tablespoons, brewed (strong)

Honey: 2 teaspoons

Method:

(i) Brew a cup of strong chamomile tea, and set it aside.

(ii) Take half of a ripe banana. Mash it well until lump free. Add to it a tablespoon of honey.

(iii) Add 2 tablespoons of chamomile tea to the banana and honey mixture. Mix well to get a spreadable paste. You may have to adjust the amount of brewed chamomile tea to do so.

(iv) Apply the mixture on your face & neck with your fingertips, leaving it on for about10 minutes.

(v) Wash the mask off with cold water.
